Details: Friday, November 10th @ 10am Keynote Lecture with Gil Schafer III. Honary Chair of the Delaware Antiques Show, award-winning architect Gil Schafer III is the founder of internationally acclaimed G.P.Schafer Architect, PLLC. An Architectural Digest AD 100 member, Schafer is consistently recognized as one of the world's experts on contemporary classical architecture. His latest book, released this week, A Place to Call Home: Tradition, Style and Memory in the New American House, will be available at the show where he will sign them after the lecture. Saturday November 11th @ 2pm (Pusey & Jones Room), Sponsored by The Decorative Arts Trust - Winterthur Progam in American Material Culture Presents Young Scholars. Each year the Delaware Antiques Show showcases research of current and/or recent students from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture. The University of Delaware and Winterthur establshed this graduate program in 1952 to promote the interdisciplinary study of American decorative arts and material culture. Sunday November 12th @ 2pm Sandy Brown, Allied Member ASID, IFDA; Winterthur Design Associates. The Well-Dressed Window: Curtains At Winterthur. Join Sandy Brown, Winterthur interior designer, as she reveals how du Pont designed and selected his antique textiles in relation to the architecture and decorative elemements in rooms.
